Huntsmen at the CDL Launch Invitational
A real review of a real team. We took Huntsmen's Day 1 and broke down every rotation, fight, SnD round and Hijack plant, the same way we break down yours. Then we turned it round into the Opponent Pack a team would get before playing them.
When you're late to the next hill, you lose it. That was a third of your rotations.
Turning up late costs you a hill
Every new hill, sorted by when your first player got onto it: before it went live, or after. Each bar is your average net points on that hill (what you scored minus what they scored), with how many of those hills you won. FaZe Vegas, the day's fastest rotators, and every other team are shown the same way.
Every hill, the route you ran, and the fix
Pick a hill to see the route your team ran into it, where you held it, where you respawned and where you were caught between hills. The pro route comes from our pro scrim library.
You win half the first fights. The rotation is where players go missing.
The first kill of a hill went your way 17 times in 34. The bigger leak is the 10 seconds around each hill switch, when players die between hills, on neither the old one nor the new one.
First blood decides your rounds
You stop their carrier, then let the plant through
Two Hijack maps, both lost. On Lotus you killed FaZe Vegas's spike carrier 10 times, but they still planted 7 times to your 5.
Who's doing what
Kills and deaths in every mode, the share of the team's time on the hill, and the two numbers that cost hills: first player down, and caught between hills.
Five changes, in the order to make them
Pick Reactor, ban Munition
Day 1 record by map and mode. It's one day, so treat it as a lean, then check it again after Days 2 and 3.
Beat them to the next hill and make them play Munition
Everything Huntsmen showed on Day 1, turned into a plan for the team playing them next. Their best maps, likely veto, top slayers, and where to catch them.
They'll want Reactor. Make them play Munition.
Their Day 1 record by map and mode.
Mince is the one to watch
Ranked by kills per death across all the maps they played. Mince is the only one above 1.0, and he also draws their first bloods in SnD.
Where they go, when they get there, and where to catch them
Pick a hill to see the route Huntsmen run into it, where they hold it, where they respawn while it's live, and where they die between hills.
Take first blood and they fold
Built from Huntsmen's three series on Day 1 of the CDL Launch Invitational, 6 November 2026: ten maps against FaZe Vegas (twice) and Toronto KOI. Some maps were picked up part-way through, so totals count what was played from then on. Days 2 and 3 get added once they're played.
Your own review is built the same way from your own VODs, so it covers all the maps you send, in full.
